The Peterborough flooring contractor that delivers to programme

If you manage a property portfolio, run a fit-out programme, or specify flooring on construction projects, you don't want a B2C carpet shop — you want a contractor who turns up on time, supplies RAMS before site induction, knows their Polyflor wear-layer specs from their Karndean Korlok, and invoices on agreed payment terms.

Cambridgeshire Carpets Ltd has spent the last 15 years building exactly that capability for developers, housing associations, letting agents and facilities managers across the PE postcode. We're an accredited supplier to Mears Group and Amicus Trust, hold full direct accounts with Polyflor, Karndean, Amtico, Tarkett and Quick-Step, and carry the public liability and employer's liability cover specifiers expect.

This page sets out exactly what working with us looks like for trade buyers — what we install, who we work with, the compliance documents we provide as standard, and how to set up a trade account or request a site survey.

Trade flooring FAQs

Do you offer trade accounts and 30-day payment terms?

Yes. New trade clients are welcome to apply for an account — we run a standard credit check and confirm terms within 5 working days. Pro-forma billing is offered for first projects, one-off contractors and any client where a credit check is declined.

What's the minimum project size for trade pricing?

Trade-discounted pricing tiers apply from 100 m² and above. We're happy to support smaller fits at our standard transparent pricing — see our Peterborough flooring price guide.

Can you fit out of hours, evenings, or weekends?

Yes — and we do, frequently. Standard practice for retail, hospitality, live-trading commercial spaces, and any healthcare or education site where weekday operation can't be disrupted.

Do you provide RAMS, COSHH data and method statements?

Always, as standard, included in price. RAMS are project-specific (not template) and issued at least 14 days before site mobilisation. COSHH data sheets are supplied for every chemical product used.

What insurance cover do you carry?

£5 million public liability, £10 million employer's liability, both renewed annually with continuous cover. Certificates provided on contract award and on request thereafter.

How fast can you mobilise on a project?

From confirmed order: typically 2–3 weeks for non-urgent specifications where stock is available; same-week for genuine programme emergencies. Stock-dependent products (notably some Karndean and Amtico ranges) may carry a 4-week lead time.

Do you cover Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire and the wider East of England?

Yes. Our standard 30-mile radius from Peterborough covers all of Cambridge, Huntingdon, Ely, Stamford, Spalding, Wisbech, Kettering, Corby and Wellingborough. Larger contract values can be supported further afield by negotiation.

Can you handle multi-site, multi-property frameworks?

Yes — see the housing association example above. Single point of account management, framework-priced, programmed across the duration of the contract.
